Visa Requirements

For Teachers

Each country has their own Visa requirements that dictate terms for employment eligibility in that country. Please note that country contract and visa legislation is determined by local government legislation. Some countries also have visa quotas for private companies.

Therefore you may be eligible to apply for a country, but their full visa quota may have been issued for the employment year. For most countries in our network, a CELTA or equivalent (see certification section) and a university degree is a requirement for visa sponsorship.

Basic Visa requirements by country

Please see a list below of nationalities we are able to hire for each country according to that country’s Visa requirements. Note that if you apply to a country that you are not eligible to work based on these Visa requirements, we cannot respond to your application. We apologize in advance for this. Please thoroughly review the list below before applying.

How to find a Wall Street English teaching job

Wall Street English centers around the world use various media to advertise positions in their network. This ranges from local press to TEFL recruitment websites.

Unfortunately, due to the freedom of the internet, there are scam advertisements especially for teaching positions which can be misleading and harmful.

Teachers are integral to any professional TEFL organizations. They contribute to improving students’ professional and personal lives. Professional TEFL organizations will want to get to know an applicant before they hire a teacher by way of at least a phone or face-to-face interview.
